I am Robert Cooper and I am a carpenter enthusiast and trainer, educator and master craftsman. I was born in 1973 in California. Growing up, I was able to learn the technique of woodworking from my grandfather, who taught me everything he understood. Together we have created some really attractive furniture. The most beautiful projects are probably still in the house, more than 3 decades later.
I have been really happy to use wood every day for over 31 years. I have been fortunate enough to think of woodworking as my long-time business, which means I am still able to make a living from my understanding of woodworking. Today I make all kinds of carpentry furniture for my clients.
This site is kind of a prop for my long list of hobbies. I am fortunate to have enough free time in my older years and may be able to use this website as a kind of diary in my carpentry skills. Decades ago I gained such an understanding on this subject and it might be unfortunate to lose it eventually. This is why I made the decision to produce this site with the help of my son, who certainly knows a little more about this “Internet” than I do.
I try to put just as much useful content on this woodworking website when I can. Hope you, as fellow Woods Friend, will get many helpful tips and methods from my website.
Also, for those who have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I’ll do my best to answer your questions as quickly as possible!
